Hadith #1 Regarding Dua to Begin Salah
In Jam’i at-Tirmidhi Hadith #243 this Hadith has been mentioned as Hasan. Hasan means good which has a connected chain of transmission by narrators who are upright and exacting.
The chain of this Hadith:
Al-Hasan bin Arfah bin Yazid Yahya bin Moosa Khat——»Muhammad bin Khazim al-Darir——»Harisa bin Abi al-Rijaali——»’Umar bint ‘Abdur Rahman——»’Aisha bint Abi Bakr
Aishah Radi ALLAHu ‘Anha narrated:
“When the Prophet opened the Salat he would say….”
Hadith #2 Regarding Dua to Begin Salah
It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri Radi ALLAHu ‘Anhu said:
“The Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ used to start his prayer by saying: ‘Subhanaka Allahumma wa bi hamdika, wa tabarakas-muka, wa ta’ala jadduka, wa la ilaha ghairuka.”
There is one more dua which starts exactly with the words of Sana.
Hadith #3 Regarding Another Dua During Bowing and Prostrations
Narrated ‘Aishah Radi ALLAHu ‘Anhu:
The Prophet ﷺ used to say in his bowings and prostrations, “Subhanaka Allahumma Rabbana wa bihamdika, Allahumma ighfirli” (Glorified be You, O ALLAH, our Lord! All the praises are for You. O ALLAH, forgive me)!”
Saheeh Al-Bukhari 4293
Hadith #4
One more Hadith that resolves the problem of most of the boys these days. When someone hangs out with their friends and knowns. Most of the time indulge in the sins anyhow.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of ALLAH ﷺ said,
“Whoever sits in a gathering and indulges in useless talk and before getting up supplicates: ‘Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaika (O ALLAH, YOU are free from every imperfection; praise be to YOU. I testify that there is no true god except YOU; I ask YOUR Pardon and turn to YOUR in repentance),’
he will be forgiven for (the sins he may have intentionally or unintentionally committed) in that assembly.”
Jam’i At-Tirmidhi | Riyad as-Salihin 832
Commentary:
Prophet Mu’hammad ﷺ would recite this supplication at the end of every assembly to teach his Ummah how to gain more rewards and to beseech ALLAH to forgive the lapses which they might have inadvertently committed during the course of a general conversation. There is no indication in the Hadith that he himself used to engage in idle talk while he was with his Companions.
A senseless, boisterous talk, not related to the life to come, is unprofitable and warrants deprecation. But since it is a small sin, it may be pardoned if one sincerely repents of it.
